OVERVIEW
The Cooney Family have lived and worked in the Boyne Valley for over 200 years, so it was the perfect place for us to establish the Boann Distillery, which is now one of the most advanced distilleries in the world. From the heart of this beautiful landscape, with its rich tapestry of myth and legend, we take inspiration from Ireland’s ancient history to illuminate the future of Irish Whiskey distilling.
Getting Here
We are situated at the edge of Drogheda, one of Ireland’s oldest towns located just off the main Dublin-Belfast Road, Junction 8 M1, about an hour’s drive from either city, so the perfect stop off point. On your arrival you’ll be greeted by the spectacular view of our magnificent Italian made copper pot stills. Whether you’d like a tour of the distillery, or to purchase one of our award winning whiskeys or craft gins, our team would be delighted to welcome you.

The Boyne Valley is at the heart of Ireland’s ancient past with so much to discover and some of the country’s greatest heritage sites to explore while you’re here.
ACCESSIBILITY
At Boann Distillery we are committed to accessibility and inclusion and will endeavour to accommodate all visitors. It is important to remember that Boann Distillery is a fully operational distillery with production sounds and noises that may be uncomfortable for any visitors with sensory concerns.
The distillery is accessible via a wheelchair lift located beside the disabled parking spaces and the distillery and the gift shop are fully wheelchair accessible. The distillery tour and tasting room are accessible via a lift and tours are fully accessible with modification to the tour route.
Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome.
