Boyne Valley
From the Goddess of the River Boyne, we take our name. From the goodness of the Boyne Valley, we take our pure ingredients.
The Boyne Valley and the River Boyne.
The Boyne Valley and the river that runs through it is Ireland’s richest archaeological landscape, and home to some of the world’s most famous ancient sites that span over 5,000 years of myth and legend. It is a region of exceptional heritage and beauty.
IRELAND'S ANCIENT EAST
Stretching along the River Boyne in Counties Meath and Louth, it holds some of Europe’s most important prehistoric sites, including Newgrange, Knowth, and Dowth, collectively part of the Brú na Bóinne UNESCO World Heritage Site. The valley and river are deeply tied to Irish myth.
Legend has it that the Irish Goddess Boann created this river, from which we take our name.

NEWGRANGE
Newgrange lies at the heart of the Boyne Valley. Sitting on a summit, it overlooks the swirling waters of the River Boyne. It is the oldest astronomically aligned structure in the world, older than Stonehenge, older than the pyramids. It was built by a farming community who enjoyed the same rich valley lands that nurture our barley and delivers up our deep, well water. Once a year, for the past 5,000 years, dawn light floods its inner chambers during the winter solstice.
THE HILL OF TARA
The Hill of Tara, which is also located near the River Boyne, is an ancient archaeological complex that runs between Navan and Dunshaughlin in Co. Meath. It contains a number of ancient monuments and according to tradition, was the seat of the High King of Ireland.
