Barley Project
We work with a local company, Loughrans family Maltsters to supply our raw barley , oats , wheat and rye for our Single Pot Still whiskey ensuring our ingredients don’t need to travel far to get to us.
Our distillery reflects the spirit and flavours of our landscape.
A matter of Grain to Glass
Located in the magnificent Boyne Valley, Boann Distillery is intrinsically linked to this beautiful landscape. We are the custodians of this special place, carrying on the traditions of those who have gone before, and caring and preserving it for future generations. So, at all stages of our distilling process, from grain to glass, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.

As part of our barrel sustainability program, we plant 1000 native oak saplings every year. We ensure they are protected, grow to maturity, and help reduce our future carbon footprint.
Our 30 acre family apple orchard has 6,500 apple trees spread over 4 varieties – Dabinett, Michelin , Yarlington Mill and Jilly, which we use to produce our Apple Brandy and to hand-harvest our signature botanicals for our gin.
At all stages of our distilling process, from grain to glass, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.
As Origin Green Gold members, we’ve made concrete commitments to protect the environment, including operating a closed-loop water system, having our spent grains collected daily by a local farmer for cattle feed, using solar energy and maximising energy recovery to power our distillery.
